First stop Oslo, Norway! 🇳🇴

This was my first time in Europe and wow was it an incredible experience!
Went to see the Opera House, visited the Munch Museum and got to see the famous artwork "The Scream," also got to try whale meat for the first time!

I wanted to focus more on street photography this trip and finding beauty in the ordinary. Which was super easy when you're in Norway because everything is already so beautiful.

Oslo was cool and a good first stop but everything after just got better and better!

This year we had lowkey 4th of July plans.
No crowds, no lines, no big fair. Just experiencing fireworks in the yard surrounded by friends and family. Being directly beneath the explosions and watching the rain of fire was so beautiful.

Growing up, I was always fascinated with astronomy. And when you're an avid camper and boy scout, you often find yourself under the night sky. On a clear night, when you get away from the city lights, you really get a sense of how vast the galaxy is and how small we are in comparison.
Last year I went chasing northern lights and shooting stars a handful of times. My astrophotography isn't good yet but I was able to snag a few cool photos. I was so hyped when I captured the Milky Way!

These are from a few different outtings but I need to get through some backlog of photos lol

I was tempted to gatekeep this but the beauties of Minnesota should be shared with all.

Continuing my journey up the North Shore, I stopped off at Judge C.R. Magney State Park to see Devil's Kettle!
Made it up to Grand Portage and that's where everything changed.
The National Monument was a blast from the past with a great history lesson! Took a dip and had dinner on the beach at Hollow Rock at sunset!
Also hiked along the Pigeon River over to High Falls, the tallest waterfall in Minnesota. Canada was literally a rocks throw away!

But what really got me was the beauty at the summit of Mt Josephine. It reminded me of the north shore in Hawaii. Top 3 view in Minnesota, without a doubt.

One of the best and cutest small towns I've ever been to!
The Harbor at sunset, Lake Loop Trail, World's Best Donuts, Artist's Point, the lighthouse, the 50’ schooner Hjordis, the weekly farmer's market. I love it all!

Would highly recommend you all add this stop to your trip up the north shore!

The Lake Walk along Lake Superior in Duluth is always nice but I didn't feel it needed it's own post so I'm combining the two here. The next few posts will contain some of my favorite places in Minnesota so stay tuned!

"Not all those who wander are lost."

Follow me as I venture into the jagged rocks of Jay Cooke State Park! It also has a separate viewpoint you can drive further up to! But if I'm being honest, I think Jay Cooke was a little overhyped. I still had a great time because I got to spend the day in nature, but it did not live up to my expectations. I would still suggest you go for the one time if it's a destination on your list!
