One of my favorite things about photography and nature is how dramatically things can change depending on where you stand, what you include⦠and what you choose to leave out.
These fascinating fungi (likely Wood Ear fungus) were growing quietly on a fallen log Denton Clear Creek Natural Heritage Center.
By changing my angle, distance, and crop, the same tiny woodland scene transformed from an environmental nature shot⦠to an intimate close-up⦠to a more abstract, glowing study of texture, shape, and light.
Photography isnāt always about finding something extraordinary. Sometimes itās about slowing down, looking closer, and discovering how perspective changes everything!
