🤍 Sometimes something beautiful simply waits until it finds the purpose it was meant for.🤍

Today, The MJR Foundation would like to recognize Shellie Clark of East Texas for the incredibly meaningful donation of her wedding dress.

Shellie is a U.S. Army veteran, and her time in the Army is actually how she met her husband. She purchased this beautiful dress in 2021 before a deployment, planning to wear it for a large wedding in 2024. After returning from deployment, however, the two decided that a simple courthouse ceremony was exactly what they wanted.

So the dress remained in her closet.

Shellie tried selling it for a while, but eventually began feeling that maybe it simply wasn’t meant to be sold. Around the same time she decided she wanted to donate it, her Aunt Hazel Delapasse tagged her on The MJR Foundation’s page.

Shellie told us, “I truly believe God works in quiet ways and timing… it felt like a clear sign. I knew right then that’s exactly where it was meant to go.”

Now, that dress will become part of our mission of creating and providing handcrafted infant coffins to families who have experienced the unimaginable loss of a child. Something originally purchased for one of life’s happiest moments will now help us bring dignity, beauty, love, and compassion to a family during one of life’s hardest. 🤍

But we also want everyone to know a little more about the woman behind this donation.

When Shellie isn’t chasing around her toddler, two dogs, cat, and flock of backyard chickens, she’s behind the camera running her own East Texas photography business, Shellie Clark Photography. 📸

Hey everyone!
I’m getting ready to open my photo schedule back up starting August 1st, but I’m jumping on here early for a special cause!
There are two sweet stray kittens (about 4 months old) that I see daily, and it’s just breaking my heart. One of them looks like it’s dealing with a little eye infection, and I really want to get them safe, healthy, and ready for new homes.
My goal is to take them to Tractor Supply for their vaccines, get them fully checked out by a vet, get them fixed, and hopefully get them into foster homes or a proper shelter!
So, I’m opening up early bookings on my calendar now!
If you go ahead and lock in your session spot for August or later, that money is going straight toward funding these two kittens vet visits, medicine, spay/neuter, and supplies.
