Sarah Genson Photography

Sarah Genson Photography Sarah Genson lives in Ludington, Michigan where she works as an accountant and enjoys outdoor photography as one of her many hobbies.

After graduating from MSU and working a Walt Disney World for a few years I returned to my hometown of Ludington, Michigan. While growing up I had been a huge fan of Todd Reed Photography and was an aspiring photographer myself. I started working at Todd & Brad Reed Photography in 2008, shortly after returning home, and managed their business for eight years. Now I work on the Finance Team at FloraCraft Corporation but occasionally still get out and about with my camera.

I was going through my photo library this morning, trying to find a shot for the December page of my calendar and came across this one... it isn't from December but I still like it.

I love the rustic quality of my Grandpa's deer blind on our family "farm" in Victory Township. My Grandpa and Dad looked forward to Opening Day of rifle hunting season (November 15) every year - it was the only day my Dad would take off of work the entire school year.

I shot this photo in early November 2013 while my Grandpa was in the hospital and I printed a copy so he could have a piece of "the farm" with him. He passed away in the early hours of November 16, 2013 - he had made it through one more "Opening Day."

We miss you Grandpa Genson!
