Two weeks ago Cora and I got to be a part of a mission trip with DiscipleTrips to Portland, Oregon. This being my first mission trip ever I didn’t know what to expect. We went with willing hands and came home with full hearts.

Metro Church of Christ - what a sweet group of loving people. Your warm welcome to our crew was life impacting. Thank you for breakfast every morning and smiling faces. I was impressed by your outreach efforts in either supplying young moms with much needed maternity/baby clothes/newborn items to making sure migrant families have food to eat on Wednesday nights at the church to socializing every Monday night with the Gresham community at the park. You really do want people to KNOW Jesus and you love without fear. I teared up hearing your voices surrounding me at Sunday worship. You are my family I didn’t know I had. What a sweet gift it was to meet you all!

Hope’s Garden Maternity Home what a work you are doing to love on young mothers and their children—to provide a safe house for them to live and grow in. We were truly inspired by your work.

projectantioch what a sweet night of fellowship! The singing was incredible and thanks for showing me what real strawberry plants look like 😆 They don’t do as well in my back yard.

Camp Yamhill what an amazing place! We came to work but you blessed us instead by letting us enjoy the campgrounds. I wish Oregon was a lot closer.

To the Shally crew— all I’ve got to say is 2 things:
1) I am NOT a werewolf and
2)…. Is the cobbler ready yet?!

Rainbows + Cowboys + Babies + Auburn Hair = Picture Perfect.

Minutes before these pictures were taken we nearly called it off. The wind was blowing like it does in West Texas 💨 , but we watched this little cloud and had faith it would pass (saying prayers on a photo shoot for wind to die down is my norm 😆).

You see that low lying cloud in the background 🌧️ it was LITERALLY the only rain cloud from here to Kansas). But as soon as it passed, the wind died and we got these incredible shots with a rainbow in our back drop 🌈
