Haley, courtside at a club volleyball tournament: "Three other moms asked me what app I was using."

UpTakes is a sports video camera app. Lift your phone up and it starts recording, lower it and the recording stops, and after each play you keep the clip or delete it right in the moment — so by the end of the match the outtakes are already gone.

UpTakes Lite is free forever, on iPhone and Android. Send this to the parent who films every game.

The worst feeling on the sideline? Your kid finally breaks one — and you weren't recording. 🏈

So we made the 1985 infomercial for the app that fixes it. 📼

UpTakes is a sports video camera app that helps you build your highlight reel as you film — it prompts you in real time to keep the best takes and drop the rest, so there's nothing to sort through after the game.

Raise your phone toward the action and it starts recording. Lower it and it stops. Patented raise-to-record (US Patent 11,082,609 B2). Free on iPhone and Android 👉 https://uptakes.app/fb

The order card at the end is a joke. The app is not.

I had so much fun making this ad. The best part was watching all of the 80s and 90s commercials for inspiration, especially the 1993 masterpiece Phone Relief.

The ad is a joke.

The UpTakes app is not, in fact, UpTakes has never been this good. I love using my own product.

I’m about to put ad money behind this. Before I do what would make this ad better? Is there anything that’s confusing or drags on? Which jokes land? Would you download it? Brutal honesty is welcome in the comments.

A lite version of UpTakes is now free forever! See links in the bio for iPhone and Android.

UpTakes only keeps the highlights — so your camera roll isn’t full of junk you’ll never watch again.

No late-night deleting.
No endless scrolling.
No missing the big play because you were trimming the last one.

Just raise your phone, record the moment, and keep what matters.

That’s it.

Try UpTakes free for 4 weeks and see how much cleaner your camera roll (and your life) feels.
