“The American Viking at Dusk” This image was captured on Friday, 10/10/25 in Winter Harbor, Maine. I was running behind heading up to my campsite within the Schoodic Woods Campground, Acadia National Park. Upon arrival, I quickly pitched the tent with just enough time to drive down the street to capture the sunset at Winter Harbor.

“Ranger Station” Once I arrive in Acadia National Park on the Schoodic Peninsula, this is always my first stop on what will be a 4 day / 3 night photographic expedition. This is the Ranger Station / Visitor Center at Schoodic Woods Campground within the National Park. Usually, I am always in a rush to set-up camp, so that I have time to cook before setting out to photograph the sunset in Winter Harbor.

I was fortunate that I was able to camp there this last weekend since the US Government is in the middle of a shutdown due to budget issues. The last time the government shut down, my reservation was cancelled.

“High Tide” I find working on images in Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop very relaxing Last night I went into my fault to play with some images that I captured at Annisquam Lighthouse back in July 2021.

I hope you enjoy viewing this image as much as I did capturing it. The cloud cover that evening at Annisquam Light was very unique and ominous.

“Painted Houses of Alton Bay” This is a similar image to what I posted yesterday, but there are some differences. In yesterday’s image, I was photographing with the Leica M11 w/ 35 mm lens horizontally. For this image, I chose the Leica Q3 with a 28mm lens vertically. By photographing vertically, I was able to capture much more of the water reflection

Very seldom do I carry multiple cameras with me, but on Saturday, I did. The Q3 is my everyday carry, but I wanted to bring the M11 with multiple lenses to play with.

“Painted Houses” Image captured in Alton Bay, NH on Saturday evening. I wasn’t sure what the fall foliage would look like in this region of New Hampshire this time of year. I plan to return next week with the expectation that the leaves will be much closer to reaching their peak.
