If you’re out today enjoying Lowell Winterfest stop by Curation 250 for the final weekend of the ”Urban Echoes” group street photography show.

I’ll be swinging by the gallery around 3:00 if you would like a personal tour of the show from one of the photographers. See you out there!

Urban Echoes has been EXTENDED! Due to popular demand (and quite honestly the snow storm too! Curse those giant snowbanks out in front of the gallery!) you get one more week to catch the Lowell Street Photography Show. So come out for Winterfest this Saturday, see the exhibit and meet a magical puppet artist extraordinaire, !

Urban Echoes opens tomorrow and our first photographer spotlight is local legend, Jeff Caplan of Black Ant Photographic.

Jeff is a fine art photographer and educator who has been creating compelling images with his cameras for over 30 years. There he delved into advanced black & white printing techniques and alternative photographic processes.

He continues to advance his knowledge of photography, video, and new media in the digital age. Jeff graduated with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from Lesley University, Boston, Massachusetts in 2021.

Formally an Adjunct Professor and Video Producer in the New Media division at the Communication Research Institute of William Penn University, Oskaloosa, Iowa.
Jeff has returned to the East coast, where he continues to create new photographs
and works as Coordinator of Media Production and as an Adjunct Instructor at

Black and white are the colors of photography. To me, they symbolize the alternatives of hope and despair to which mankind is forever subjected. — Robert Frank
