I have always enjoyed state fairs, but The Tontitown Grape Festival has always been a staple in my childhood. It was my first taste of freedom as a teenager. Getting dropped off with my group of girl friends, getting dressed up all cute just to go stand in line and stare at boys, all while shaking in my boots afraid of the ride my friends were dragging me onto. The memories I have shared at this festival will forever be remembered. It is a staple in the history of Northwest Arkansas and if you are a local, I am sure you have your own memories. My favorite ride is the swings. Being so high strapped down with your best friend with the wind in your hair, not a care in the world, the freedom feels good.
