Satellite image this morning of the fresh snow cover from yesterday's storm system. Generally 2 to 8 inches of snow fell across the bright white band across Iowa into northwest Illinois and southern Wisconsin. The bright yellow line hi-lights the Quad City NWS office's counties of responsibility. Late March sunshine will erode some of this snow cover as the day progresses.

Looks like the snow is going to start winding down in NIL.

SNOWMAGEDDON part 1! Here is a look from NOAA NWS Weather Prediction Center at the likely risk of areas of getting >3" of snow by Wednesday morning. Round 2 comes this weekend and yes there is Round 3 and 4 coming! Snow is not the only threat though. Check your local weather as there will be strong winds, ice, tornadoes, flooding and bitter cold all resulting in power outages and travel issues. Get your supplies NOW and be prepared if you're in the impact zone.
