Spent Father’s Day weekend on sections 1-2 of the Colorado Trail with and . We skipped these two sections about three years ago because people were having heat strokes through the burn area. I think it was almost as hot this year but we sweated our way through.

Chasing the Wolf Moon. Kathy and I drove out to the plains yesterday evening to get some images of the Wolf Moon. As luck would have it, the clouds rolled in. We got back to town just in time for the clouds to clear and give me a chance to grab a couple images at the park across the street from a couple large grain elevators.

I took this in San Diego a few years back and loved how "God's" light played off the water on this overcast day. For some reason it reminded me of a new day, and thus the quote. Our hearts and prayers go out to all those that are affected by the fires in California.
