The executive editing assistant at HFG Photography needs your help.
Letty is one of my (many) fur babies. I'm not afraid to say that I have favorites amongst my crew and he is my cat baby. I literally bought a baby sling for him so he can cuddle with me whenever and I do not have to hold him. And so he can stop laying on my computer while i'm editing (see example below).
Well, Letty had something weird happen yesterday and stayed at the ER overnight along with continued care at his regular vet today. He has some facial/head trauma that indicates he ran into something, very hard. We were all out of the house so we have no clue what happened. He has facial bruising, a bloody nose, a hematoma on his tongue-indicates he bit it, potential bruising on his palate. He was stable/good when I left him, but the first 24 hours are critical to make sure he does not have brain damage of any kind. There is another cat, Po, who has an eye injury as well. I will be taking her in on Friday to assess what that entails but she is otherwise in better shape. They are buddies so it's possible they got spooked and ran into something or they got into a fight. The trauma on Letty is just super strange for a fight however.
We suddenly had a cat (Waverly) pass away two weeks ago and cannot bear the thought of losing another any time soon.
Admittedly, we were not prepared for multiple animal emergencies back to back. Yes, I work in vet med and should be prepared but life has not lent that space for me in the most recent past. (side note: I do not work at any traditional clinic so can't have them seen "at work" to help)
