I’ve hosted styled retreats before, and I’ve loved them. There’s something so special about bringing photographers together, creating beautiful things, and giving everyone the space to make images they’re proud of.
But I always felt like there could be more.
More than showing up, picking up your camera, shooting for a few days, and heading home with beautiful content. That’s where Rooted Awakening came from.
This is the very first Rooted Awakening retreat, created with a completely different intention.
Yes, we’ll photograph two beautifully designed micro-weddings in one of the coolest places ever.
But we’ll also slow down. We’ll reconnect with ourselves, our creativity, and the parts of us that can get buried under turn around time deadlines, comparison, burnout, and the pressure to constantly be producing.
There will be guided healing experiences, restorative practices, meaningful conversations, and space to reflect. Then, we’ll create.
Not just to get the shot, but from a place of being present, inspired, and genuinely excited to make something again.
That’s what Rooted Awakening is about. Not just leaving with beautiful images, but leaving feeling a little more like your best self.
