Today was a special day for the Bryants. We moved into Persimmon Ridge and 5 months later Alan died.
Only five months. That's it.
My neighbor recently asked me how long we lived here until he passed and that was really the first time I recall ever saying that out loud or even thinking about it because I've been too busy thinking about all the other tragic things and timelines that occurred with Alan's passing. Then as soon as Alan died we moved my mom in with us and my basement was overflowing with people's belongings. My familys random stuff that we brought to the new house for whatever reason. Like empty TV boxes 😣 My grandparents stuff, probably some of my great grandparents stuff 😣Baldwin family stuff, my dad's business stuff, clothes, vcrs, cds, dvds, you name it..
It's been extremely overwhelming for me to focus on anything after Alan died. But the basement has felt almost impossible.
But nothing is impossible when you live in a neighborhood like Persimmon Ridge. I'm just going to share this video my sweet friend made and let you see for yourself. But just know that almost every single day someone in this neighborhood has showed up for the boys and my mom and I and I just cannot express into words how much it has meant to me.
I have been living the absolute worst days of my life and these people have never let me feel alone. I am forever grateful for every single person in the Ridge. I know we were meant to be here. And Alan would be so proud. I have been in my feelings all day but stay tuned for another sappy neighborhood post one day soon.
