Redesigning DIII Logos: Part 1 - Bowdoin College

Without a new logo design since 2008, Bowdoin College was the first logo we redesigned. Using the polar bear shown, a polar bear paw, and a forward-facing polar bear with a bold block “B,” the college has yet to see a logo with a serious look to the polar bear face.

Our design keeps the tradition of the Bowdoin College polar bear simplicity, while simply updating it to a more confident mascot.

Bethlehem Academy in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, is a former 19th-century all-girls boarding school on St. John Road. Operated by the Sisters of Loretto, it originally began in 1830 in a mansion previously owned by Kentucky Governor John L. Helm.
