So here I am at The Live in Liberty Music Memorial Weekend Festival, about to see a band I’d never heard of. Just like with Night Train, I immediately recognized two familiar faces — Damon Spigle and Lexy Clark from Lexyclarkmusic. I’m still learning the rest of the band’s names, so forgive me on that — I tried Googling them with no luck. But man… WOW. I’m honestly struggling to find the words for what I witnessed this past Saturday in Liberty, Kentucky. I was not ready. I’ve been to so many festivals these past two years, so I was expecting maybe some country, bluegrass, or classic rock covers. What I got instead completely blew my mind. This band is called Heavy holler, and they absolutely rocked — and I mean that in the realest way. They were throwing down hits from System of a Down, Tom Petty, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Shinedown, and more. Mic Drop Reviews was in straight Rock & Roll heaven. What really got me was Lexy Clark. I’d reviewed her before, but I had no idea she could sing like this. Her vocals were powerful, commanding, and she’s clearly is the driving force of the band. Every member was on fire — having fun, locked in, and proving they’re the real deal. I’ve got some videos coming soon that you’re gonna want to see. Heavy holler brings a signature heavy rock sound that blends perfectly into modern Kentucky roots and the rock scene. With their high-energy live shows and Lexy Clark as their electrifying frontwoman, this is a true powerhouse band that every venue needs to be taking notice and booking. I had the time of my life singing along almost the entire set. I’m officially a fan. This band is Mic Drop Reviews approved, and I’m telling all of you — go follow Heavy holler right now. You won’t regret it. They’re keeping rock and roll alive and making Kentucky proud. Big shoutout to The Live in Liberty Music Music Festival for bringing them in — that was a serious Win. Can’t wait to see these guys again! Be sure to Follow and Support them!!!!!!

When I walked into the Live in Liberty Music Festival yesterday, before the rain ran me off, I came across a band called Night Train! I had no idea who they were, but I always get excited discovering new bands — that’s honestly one of the main reasons I do what I do! To my surprise, I recognized a few old friends from Buffalo Station, a band a lot of folks around here know and love. That was such a pleasant surprise but there is a new band now and They’ve mixed some of those original members with some amazing new talent that was the cherry on top on everything I heard, and together they make one hell of a band! The band members Tony, Little Joe, Mike, Jason, Steve, and Rebecca and they kicked ass at this year’s Live in Liberty Music festival 2026! Night Train plays high-energy, danceable sets with classic country, modern party country, and hard-hitting classic rock. Even with the bad weather threatening the day, these guys still came ready to rock! They went from “Witchy Woman” by the Eagles to “Dumas Walker” by the Kentucky Headhunters, and dropped an amazing version of “What’s Up” by 4 Non Blondes that I’d never heard like that before. They also threw in hits from Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks, and U2 that absolutely blew my mind! This band has it all — good sound, a great setlist, and a good attitude all the way around. If I had my own venue, I’d hire them tomorrow! So if you’ve got a venue, take note — Night Train knows how to work a crowd and they’ve got the hits! I truly enjoyed jamming out with them. I never got bored once. Each song felt like opening a present, and their performance just kept getting stronger. I’m so glad I was there! Go check out The Night Train Band’s page and give them a follow. They’re playing shows now, so it’s the best way to see when they’ll be in a town near you. I highly recommend these guys and this girl — they will definitely satisfy your music needs! Remember how important it is to support our local Kentucky artists. We’re the ones who keep them going. Without them, Kentucky would be a pretty boring place! I’m so honored to be part of this scene, and supporting bands like Night Train is a must.
Great work guys! Y’all rocked my world!! ❤️
