Last night I had the chance to visit a venue I'd never been to — Java Springs in Russell Springs, Kentucky — to catch an old friend on stage: Jeremy Zeller. I honestly can't put into words how incredible this place was, or how welcoming the staff and management were — not just to me, but to every single person who came out to hear some genuinely amazing music. What struck me most about Java Springs is their passion for supporting local music. It genuinely warms my heart to know venues like this still exist — places that understand how important it is to give local artists the platform they deserve. One thing I loved especially: they let original artists perform their own songs instead of just covers. To me, that's golden. It shows the venue's heart, and most original artists know how rare that is in the small-venue scene these days. That openness is exactly what sets Java Springs apart from everyone else. Oh, and some of the best coffee I've ever had in my life. No exaggeration. Now — the show. I've reviewed Jeremy Zeller multiple times since starting Mic Drop Reviews, and I still get blown away by what this man can do and how completely he pours himself into every performance. Last night was no different. It was raw: just Jeremy and his guitar, running through some incredible covers alongside songs from his newly released album, The Soundtrack for Healing. He performed tracks like "Miles Away," "The Kingdom of Heaven," and my personal favorite, "Hear Me." Jeremy never disappoints. I always leave his shows feeling inspired in a way that makes me feel like my life shifted in just a couple of hours. He's a powerhouse in this scene, and that respect has been earned — from fans and fellow artists alike. I can't find a single negative thing to say about the guy. I know firsthand that his music changes lives, because it changed mine to the core. I can never go back to thinking the way I used to. That's how powerful his lyrics and his music are. One more thing, and I'd ask everyone to check this out: Jeremy has also made a movie based on his true-life story — one that walks through the new record and how it lines up with his journey to becoming the man he is today called "I Suddenly See In Color".
