I attended my first CreativeMornings Louisville today at Mashup Food Hall and had the chance to listen to DeVone Holt speak. He talked about the four things every strong community needs:
People, places, payroll…and parties.

And the moment he said that last one, I felt it in my soul.

It made me think of the annual KKP Bo***ir Pool Party - an event that takes months of planning, coordination, budgeting, and honestly, pure heart. But I’d do it over and over again because when you give people a purpose and a party, you give them a place to belong.

That event may look simple from the outside, but for so many attendees it becomes a space where they feel welcomed, celebrated, and connected. Hearing DeVone’s words today reminded me that community-building isn’t always about big initiatives - it’s often about creating room for people to feel something real.

Grateful I get to bring a little of that into the world through KKP Bo***ir 💜
