My desire is to share the very essence of nature through photography which awakens and refreshes me, in that I breathe more deeply, take heart in the stillness it brings, and cherish the fleeting moments in this delicate balance of the rhythmic poetry and whispers of life and always thirst for more. That is when my awareness of it's beauty and mystery began to form. Back in the late 1970's my husb

and and I became interested in Raptors. We obtained a Federal Permit to Rehab and Release Birds of Prey. We also worked with the Louisville Zoo Administrator Dr. William Foster on this program. I later joined Kentucky Wildlife Line and was covered by a blanket permit, to rehab and release small mammals, for another 8 years. In 1996, I first took notice of a beautiful pair of Red-Shouldered hawks that had nested on our 2 acres, and that was a gift, that just keeps on giving. One day I was on Google wondering if anyone else out there loved Red-Shouldered Hawks, like I do. I came across a single site...one done by Vickie Henderson. I had never heard of a blog, but she introduced me and encouraged me to begin my own. That was in June of 2009. My blog "Red-Shouldered Hawks of Tingsgrove and Beyond", is just one way to share the images from my world. I hope that you will enjoy your visit~

This is a favorite lane that I travel often in my Oldham County, Kentucky. On this lane , just over a mile long is where eleven species of plains birds come to nest and rear their young in the Spring. This is also where Short-eared owls and Northern Harriers drop down from Canada to cruise the fields and enjoy their late Autum and Winters. I love this little lane where I have watched birds, other wildlife as well as brilliant sunsets and glorious sunrises. I hope that you will enjoy thei entry as well~

It's taken me from January to June ending to reach my fifteenth year of blogging. My last entry for my mostly wildlife and nature blog will be published by January 2025. With over 13,000 published comments for my thousands of shared photographs and long written summaries along with thousands of shares with bloggers from around the world, it's been a huge blessing. Some of you have followed my blog since the beginning and I so appreciate each of you. Some have never visited my blog and I invite you to now. When you get to the end of a post, it will prompt you to go to next, or last entry. You can also look at all of the labels on the left and choose what might interest you the most. If you can, leave a comment, because I will publish them and they will be saved for always.

I am closing in on the end of this blog and I have very mixed feelings.  During the first ten years I kept it going and I was very busy with sharing with people who became friends, regulars from around the World.  I have thousands of cherished comments from so many that I shared life with through ...
