I blinked and almost four months has passed since I’ve shared anything here 🥴. I can’t think of a better way to pop back in, than with this wild story!

Bri + I had her maternity photos scheduled for early September, when her water broke just days before our session was scheduled- 31 weeks into her pregnancy! Fortunately, the hospital allowed me inside to capture her maternity photos while she was on bed rest to hopefully keep baby boy inside for a few more weeks. We set up my backdrop in the hospital’s outdoor garden area and were able to capture these super sweet moments, but it would be just TWO DAYS before Weston would make his surprise arrival!

Very happy to report Bri’s sweet baby boy is doing extremely well- he only required a short NICU stay and just turned 2 months old! Another memory I’ll never forget, that I had the gift of being a little part of 🤍. (Scroll to the end to see some sweet shots of Bri’s husband Tyler wheeling her back to her room after our shoot 🥲.)

6 months of loving Leo Todd!!! We are so head over heels for this boy, it’s not even funny 🥹🤍. He is truly heaven-sent and everything we didn’t know we were missing.

Thank you to my amazingly talented friend for always capturing our family so perfectly and to for making me feel confident again for the first time since giving birth 🥲. Washing my make-up off was truly a sad experience lol.

Aaand we’re back! Almost lol. After a 6 month maternity leave, I’ll officially be back at it as of March 1st 🤗. The past 6 months with our beautiful baby boy have went so by so quickly and I’m so grateful I was able to have this uninterrupted time with my family. I can’t wait to officially introduce you guys to him in a couple of weeks, after we have family photos taken for his 6 months!

I’m so excited to start seeing you guys again and creating and actually seeing the outside of my house on a regular basis lol. Until then, I wanted to share one of the last shoots I did before my leave started. Shayd + I were less than a week apart in our pregnancies, so it was super special to capture these maternity photos for her! 🥰

That just engaged feeling ✨

This moment was just as dreamy + joyful as it looks. I truly couldn’t have started my maternity leave on a better note. When Andrew reached out to me about wanting to capture his proposal to Jessie, I had already “closed my books”, but there was no possible way I was passing up being part of this! I shot anniversary photos for this sweet couple back in 2022, and I was ecstatic to get to work with them again- especially for this occasion ☺️. So so grateful to be trusted with memories as precious as these.

A special shout out to my little sis who helped so much in setting this up. It was a hot 90 degree day, made more intense by being 37 weeks pregnant 😅, and I couldn’t have done it without her 🫶🏼.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: as long as I do photography, I’ll never stop capturing senior sessions. Always some of my favorites each year ☺️. Especially when there’s a personal touch added, like in Katie Jane’s. She incorporated her dance background during her senior session and I absolutely loved it 💚🌿

I’ve been able to capture so much motherhood over the last few months and I’m not mad about it one bit 🩵

Being pregnant since the beginning of the year means just now finally sharing the seniors of class of 2024, while currently editing photos for the class of 2025 🥴. Eleanor’s senior shoot was one of my favs from this past spring!

A little update: I’m currently no longer taking new bookings until after my maternity leave. I have less than 8 weeks left of this pregnancy and working in this summer heat has definitely started to take its toll 😮‍💨. I’ll be able to work with a small handful of repeat clients in the later part of fall, but for all new clients, booking will resume in the spring. This seems like such a long time, but I want to allow ample time for my recovery + prioritize time with my family over the holidays. I’m also excited that this will give me plenty of downtime to share a ton of shoots from the past year that have yet to see my Instagram feed!

FYI: If I’m not able to capture your photos in the timeframe you’re wanting, I can connect you with other amazing local photographers in the meantime! 💕
