Hi, I’m Breann the photographer and owner behind The Southern Shutter Photography! 🤍

I’m a boy mom, dog mom, wife, and someone who truly understands the beautiful chaos that comes with everyday life. Between busy schedules, messy moments, and everything in between, I know just how important it is to slow down and preserve the memories that matter most.

When I’m not behind the camera, you can usually find me curled up with a good book (fantasy and psychological thrillers are my favorite), outside enjoying nature, riding horses, or spending time with my family.

I started this business because I genuinely love connecting with people and hearing their stories. Getting to document the moments that make up your life is such an incredible privilege to me. Since becoming a mom, I’ve gained a whole new appreciation for just how quickly time passes. It feels like every time I blink, my son has grown a little more.

That’s why I love what I do — creating a fun, relaxed experience while capturing the real, sweet moments you’ll want to hold onto forever.

📸✨ ALBUM DROP ✨📸

We only had this handsome little guy’s attention for about 10 minutes, but honestly, that was all we needed to see just how much he loves his momma. 🤍 The bond between these two was so sweet and genuine, and I’m so thankful I got to capture these little moments for them.

They truly don’t stay little forever, and that’s one of the biggest reasons I love what I do. Being able to freeze time, even for just a moment, and preserve memories like these means so much to me. Especially now as a mom myself, I understand more than ever when people say “don’t blink”, because they really do grow up way too fast. ✨

That’s why I take photos, because the little moments that feel ordinary today become the memories you’ll cherish forever tomorrow. 🤍
