One of my absolute favorite things about my business is getting to capture moments for families through different chapters of their life. I’ve had the privilege of photographing Erin and Mitch’s gorgeous fam 4 times now and they were one of my first photo sessions EVER when I started my business in the peak of the pandemic. Last fall, I traveled to Boston to photograph Roger and Jess’s wedding. I met Roger 15 years ago at Boston Ballet School’s summer intensive, we later worked together at Louisville Ballet, and have kept in touch even though he moved to continue his graduate studies. When I met Jess several years ago, I knew she was the one for him and I was so honored when they asked me to capture their wedding day. 🎹 🪻

As a toddler mom, I totally understand that kids can be unpredictable. When photographing young families I go with the flow. After all, having your photo taken isn’t the most natural thing even for adults, let alone little kiddos! I always encourage lots of play… and bringing along grandparents for an extra set of hands never hurts. 🥰

Yesterday was gallery delivery day for Emily and Matt!! What a joy to get to know them over the last year, bonding over our mutual love of classical music and art. They even came to not one but TWO Louisville Ballet performances this year! Their wedding was so intentional and thoughtful that not even a cocktail hour storm with 80 mph gusts could put a damper in this special day.
