Taking a look back at the construction site as it appeared on May 8, captured in a horizontal format to show more of the project area and surrounding landscape.

At the time, crews were actively moving dirt, preparing work zones, and continuing foundation work that would support future bridge and roadway structures. Looking at these photos now, it's easier to appreciate how much progress can happen in just a matter of weeks.

Here's an interesting fact: on large infrastructure projects, some of the most important work is the least visible. Before bridge columns, road surfaces, and ramps can be built, crews spend months preparing the ground, installing foundations, and creating the support systems that will carry the structure for decades.

🚧 Pile Driving Begins – East Side of the Rio Grande

A quick look back at the early stages of pile driving on the east side of the Rio Grande as crews began installing the deep foundations for the future bridge.

Just a reminder β€” this footage was captured on May 8, so the site has continued to progress since then. It's interesting to look back and see where construction was at the start of this phase compared to where it is today.

The steel piles being installed during this stage form a critical part of the bridge foundation, helping transfer the weight of the future structure deep into stable ground below.

This is just one snapshot in the timeline of the project, and I'll continue sharing newer footage and progress updates as construction moves forward.

🚧 Los Lunas Boulevard Corridor Project – Vertical View

Sorry for the delay in getting this one posted. I've been working through footage and organizing updates, and I wanted to make sure this clip made it into the series.
