If I think there are millions of wrong ways to take a photograph, but only one correct way, can I still consider it an art? Or is that just craft/skill? Or is my head so big about my own photography, and my taste in that of others, that I think my way is the only right way (and if someone else gets close to that, only then are they are a good photographer)? More importantly, did I just answer my own question? 🤔

In a past life, I was a photographer, before EDS made it damn near impossible. I was working on a series on people with EDS, when I had the opportunity to shoot adult film star (and EDSer) Mandy Morbid.

Mandy was the first person I knew who was making a lot of money despite having pretty severe EDS. She was also the first person my age I had met who was an ambulatory wheelchair user. The last time I saw her was a few years ago, when we ran into each other at the gastroenterologist’s office. EDS is a small, but ever growing, world like that.
