Releasing today, ‘Big Trick’ is ’s first EP since her debut album ‘𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘊𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘺 𝘐𝘯 𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘚𝘱𝘰𝘵, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐’𝘥 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘢𝘮𝘦’. The cover artwork was photographed on CineStill 400D by .winston.

“Sabrina and I first met in 2024 when I photographed her performance at Baby’s All Right. Since then, we’ve collaborated on a mixture of professional and “just for fun” portrait sessions, and she’s become one of my favorite artists to work with. ‘Big Trick’ focuses on themes of disillusionment, exasperation, and the fear of failure, with Sabrina facing these and other difficult emotions head-on. We wanted the images to feel a bit messy and “bratty” through close-ups and abstract framing. We were aiming to capture organic texture and rich color depth, effects achievable through CineStill and handprinting the selects in the darkroom.” — Morgan Winston

Erika Larsen is a transdisciplinary storyteller who believes that photography is one of the most important ways to explore our understanding of time. Pulling from her monograph, Sami-Walking with Reindeer, a reflection of her time living in the Scandinavian Arctic to her work for National Geographic and more, our latest installment in the CineStill Frames series explores Erika’s creative process, storytelling, and how a project and it’s timeline are defined.

𝗖𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 is a documentary project from the lens of Brendan Leahy, made in collaboration between CineStill and Studio Skylight. Since 2019, CineStill Frames has told the story of the process behind the work of artists and makers creating in the analog medium today.

Released this past Friday, ‘Serial Romantic’ is ’s debut studio album through Def Jam Recordings. The cover artwork was photographed on CineStill 400D by .

“This concept was brought to me by Jai’Len and her team! I was hired specifically to capture her vision on film and film only. So, after hearing the title of her album being ‘Serial Romantic’, I immediately researched old hopeless romantic movies that could match with the title, but also tell a story within colors, texture, and contrast. I knew I was going to go with CineStill, but I didn’t know what color base to give myself. In the end, I followed my gut, and chose CineStill 400D which gives a more natural base with colors in the studio, and clean canvas to create with Lightroom!” - Quality Lenz
