One of my fav parts about developing my own film is the “mistakes” as you can see on slides 2 & 3 where the film overlapped while developing. I love these happy accidents so much.

I don’t know if y’all have seen 28 Days Later: Bone Temple, but if not, 🏃‍♀️. A lot of metaphors for what our country is going through right now and one of my favorite films this year.

Of course it reminded me of my time in Sedlec Ossuary in Kutná Hora, Czech Republic.
This bone church contains the remains of over 50,000 remains. Most who died from the Black Death.

Today is 5 years since icon Sandie Crisp aka Goddess Bunny left this planet.
She was a trailblazer, someone who fought adversity from the day she was born. Most would probably recognize her tap dancing in a Marilyn Manson video.

We met when I was bartending downtown, I asked if she’d let me photograph her before even realizing the legend she was.

She allowed me into her care facility, let me watch her put her makeup and crown on, talked about her love of Jesus while she chain smoked.

I went to her 56th birthday where we performed a karaoke duet to Cherry Bomb by the Runaways.
How she thrived in her life is a lesson to us all, living with polio and aids for the majority of her life, she still loved and laughed and performed her ass off.
What a life she lived.

She came out as trans in 1974, when she was just 14.

There is a photograph of her hanging in the Louvre.

She ran as a write-in candidate for the President of the United States of America in 2020.
I wish she would have won.

I have included some clips from the beautiful documentary her son .ai made a year before her death.
She was a true Hollywood star. RIP Goddess. 🖤
