Jean Paul Gaultier photographed this campaign himself.

What I remember most is the timing. I shot this in Paris the same week Paolo Roversi photographed me for my first Claude Montana campaign.

I don’t think I understood that those few days would become part of a much larger chapter of my life.

Looking back now, forty-two years later, I'm so happy to be part of this time in fashion.

The Last of the Analog Generation

Thirty-two years ago I arrived at Woodstock with my camera and 200 rolls of film.

No phones. No social media. No images appearing seconds after they were made.

I found myself photographing the people more than the stage—the faces, the mud, the rain, the exhaustion, the freedom, and the strange beauty of being completely inside a moment.

I’ve never really shown this body of work.

Until now.
