Tonights PROPOSAL was so special!
Mr & Mrs Ryan everyone! Saturday was so beautiful photographing inside of the old Ventura mission! I found a new & deep love for photographing inside of churches! ✨
Yesterday’s garden wedding was set on a hilltop of the Chatsworth hills, one of my favorite places in the world. I was so excited for this wedding because as a teenager I used to explore this area inside and out- and actually was married myself right over these hills. So excited to get to editing these images of Max & Julia ✨
Just as I was getting discouraged because of the gloomy weather the past couple of months, the sun decided to pop out for a few hours yesterday! Don’t get me wrong, i love gloomy weather in real life & in shoots but after a few months of not having it, I was seriously missing that golden light✨ Yesterday was one of the most peaceful weddings I’ve ever been apart of & one of the most beautiful pictures of what family should look like. I was left inspired. Congrats Brooke & Robert!
Laughed our way through the shoot tonight ✨
I heard that yesterday was the international day for prayer, which was amazing to hear because yesterday was a day that was surrounded by prayer! First, I have been praying to find more engagement & wedding work in Austin. I have probably have been praying for that for just under a year. Second reason being that rain was forecasted all week for Thursday to pour down in the exact time of our shoot. It was at 50% with thunderstorms all day. It has gone down to 30% the night before and sky rocketed back up to 80% just a few hours before the shoot! It wouldnt be such a big deal if i lived in the city and could simply reschedule but I pretty much only had this one day and we had been planning this shoot for months. Two nights ago I started a new book (dreaming with God but Bill Johnson) and it was talking about our desires in relationship to our prayer life. The word desire literally translates to “of the father”. It gave me a whole new understanding of the multiple verses that talk about asking and receiving in Christ. Yesterday, as rain drops started falling on my windshield on the way to scout before the shoot I prayed to God for the 10th time at least but this time I was not just praying for no rain but also for sunshine and also let Him know that He was good no matter if it rained or shined. By 4 pm (one hour before the shoot) I was sitting in a coffee shop charging my phone and looked at the weather to find no rain or thunder but sunshine and clouds for the remainder of the day. By the end of our shoot we had a beautiful sun reflection on the waterfall we were photographing in. ⛅️ Most of the time when I go through something whether it be good, bad, challenging, exciting and so on, I try to think back on my recent prayer life and what I have been praying for (because who knows they ALL get answered?!). Last week I prayed for a spark in my faith. Yesterday I received one. Today is dark, gloomy, full of real thunderstorms and rain...and I’m rejoicing ⚡️
Jacque & Shane’s wedding this past Saturday was so beautiful. Loved exploring the beach, enduring the cold weather, climbing rocks and telling them over and over that the photos will be worth it while Jacques dress became ombré dirt from the sand & ocean water 🌊 I love a “anything for the photos” type of spirit on wedding day. I’m sharing a behind the scenes photo in my stories to show the other side of these beautiful images
✨ Tonight’s whimsical engagement session with Haley & Spencer! We had so much fun snapping photos (and hiking!) up and around these beautiful hills. Also, it was her birthday! What a fun way to celebrate ✨
Currently in San Diego to photograph a two day campaign on a commercial set for a 29 year old woman running for Congress! I’ve never done anything like this and I’m really excited. I’ll be photographing those ads you get in the mail for people running for office...you know the ones you probably throw away?...well anyways, here’s the super cute family on vacation from that i photographed on Wednesday!
Today’s photo appetite; black & white 🖤🖤🖤
Tonight I photographed my last wedding of 2017! Up in hills of Topanga for a twinkly & romantic winter vibe. I actually shot my first wedding here when I was 18 years old. I wore a purple romper, fishnets and military boots. Since then I’ve learned professionalism as a photographer & vendor. Also, my photos have definitely gotten better since then. Two things I’m more than grateful for along with this amazing year of beautiful weddings! 🌲♥️✨
Congrats to Mr & Mrs Arellano! Was an honor to photograph this creative, fun & passionate couple yesterday! Seriously SO thrilled for all of the beautiful images to come 🌴
These wedding photos have me like 💃🏻 and I don’t even like to dance
Tonight with Megan & Graham! Probably the most fun I’ve had with complete strangers in awhile 🏙
✨ Incredible day & night ✨
