Cat and Paul’s wedding day came with rare heavy San Diego rain, but nothing was going to take away from what mattered most.

"I don't care. I really want to have the ceremony outside," Cat said to everyone, and then right before the ceremony, the rain stopped. Perfect timing. Just enough for them to say their vows, surrounded by their people, fully present in the moment. And then, the rain came back like it had been waiting.

Seriously, Cat and Paul were one of the most joyful couples, smiling through it all and fully embracing every part of the day as it unfolded. They were simply so happy to be marrying each other.

It was a great day that proved nothing can get in the way when you are focused on what truly matters. 💛

One of my favorite parts of doing wedding expos is getting to meet you in REAL life. I love seeing your reactions when you start to understand what wedding photojournalism really is. "Oh… this is different." I love being there for that, and every time I’m reminded why I keep coming back.

See YOU next time! Yay!

These are the exact words from a recent inquiry I've received, and I cannot believe how lucky I am to be able to do what I do. 🙏🏽😇

When people reach out, it’s rarely just about photos, but it's more about wanting to feel seen.

A sigh of relief. That feeling of finally finding something that feels right.

Wedding photojournalism isn’t about manufactured moments but is about giving you permission to be fully present, to feel everything as it unfolds, and to trust that your story is already ENOUGH.

Do you need a second photographer?

Short answer: not always, but it can make a huge difference.

A second photographer means more coverage, more perspectives, and more moments you might never even see otherwise. While one of us is with you, the other can be capturing your partner getting ready, your family’s reactions, or all those little in-between moments happening simultaneously.

And EVEN an elopement can benefit from a second photographer, just like this post. While you’re fully present with each other, someone else can be documenting the full story, the setting, the quiet emotions, and the moments unfolding from a completely different perspective.

If you want a fuller, more complete story of your day, a second photographer is almost always worth it. 💛

We know love stories don’t just begin on a wedding day; they unfold over time. ♥️

When Chey and Mitch moved from San Francisco, it started as a photo session to honor their aging pup, Penny. Behind the scenes, Mitch and I planned the next chapter, a "surprise" proposal, thoughtfully woven into their story. Then came the LA County Fair engagement session. And then, their wedding day. 🎊

Over the years, I’ve had the rare privilege of witnessing their love grow, chapter by chapter.

As a wedding photojournalist, it's such an absolute honor to be invited into people's lives, to watch chapters build on one another, and to witness the love up close. What a blessing.

Jeong (정).

A Korean word that describes a deep emotional bond built through everyday moments.
A love so layered, so quiet, and so familiar - there’s no direct English translation for it.

This film captures Jin's and Jen’s love that feels calm, comfortable, and full of laughter, where time moves fast but every moment feels present.

Their connection lives in simple rituals. Nightly calls at 9 pm, sharing coffee and cookies, and spending quiet time side by side. A steady love that grows through ordinary days.

Filmed in a documentary style, we are so proud of producing wedding films that are a glimpse into their wedding day and a life they’re building together, captured honestly as it unfolds. 💛

Amy and Michelle’s lives had been orbiting each other long before they ever met; growing up in Southern California, sharing mutual friends, and somehow never crossing paths. Talk about meant to be. :D

Self-proclaimed nerdy and quirky, they were already dressing up together at Comic-Con after their very first date. Now, life at home feels complete in the quietest and most meaningful ways; one dog, one cat, and one beautifully ordinary life that feels entirely full.

Their wedding at THE HISTORIC EDWARDS MANSION was filled with thoughtful and creative DIY touches, including their wedding cake, table settings, and the giant, human-sized paper flowers Michelle handmade at home.

Michelle loves how compassionate and driven Amy is, and Amy loves how kind and caring Michelle is, especially the way she lights up when she is doing something she loves, because her energy is truly contagious.

Perfection is subjective.

The wind might mess up your hair.
The timeline might run late.
Someone might cry unexpectedly.
You might forget what even you planned to say.

And somehow… those become the moments you remember most. And to me, that's perfect.

As a wedding photojournalist, I won't direct your day.
I observe, anticipate, and authentically document your story as it naturally unfolds.

The more you live the moments, the more meaningful and perfect your photos become.

When I think about them, words like calm, kind, and caring come to mind.

Jennifer and Jin met through their best friends over a simple dinner, and everything just clicked from there. What started as an introduction turned into shared trips to Iceland, Idyllwild, and Carmel-by-the-Sea, and a relationship built on consistency, care, and understanding. Even with busy lives and distance, they showed up for each other every day, including their nightly 9 p.m. calls that became part of their rhythm.

They are both Korean at heart and American in culture, creating a life that blends both worlds naturally. Together, they support each other with kindness, patience, and a deep sense of respect.

Their wedding at in Santa Ana was thoughtful, grounded, and full of quiet and meaningful moments shared with the people who matter most. 💛
