Written by Conan Gray with Julia Michaels and Henry Walker and produced by Cirkut, ‘Disaster’ is a synth-pop song. The track is the fourth single of the singer-songwriter’s sophomore studio album “Superache”, released on June 24th, via Republic Records.
“Writing this album was miserable, and that’s why it ended up being a super-accurate depiction of my life. It felt like scraping my ribs of any last bits of meat. (…) With this album, it’s like, ‘I had a really bad childhood. I’m in a lot of pain’”, Conan Gray told Rolling Stone magazine.
‘Disaster’ is accompanied a cinematic music video and follows previous singles ‘Yours’, ‘Memories’ and ‘Jigsaw’.

Thank you to everyone that took a chance on me this year and blessed me with so many incredible opportunities. 2020 has been very tough for so many, and myself included, with many tears, lots of sadness and depression, but also lots of laughs, lots of smiles, love, and lots of “how is this real life?” (cue covid, the protests for racial injustice, and the phone call to shoot Lady Gaga all in the same year) But all in all, I’m incredibly grateful for this truly eye opening, hard yet inspiring year. I know not everyone had a lot of good in their year, and for that I wish each of you nothing but love and abundance in the new year. I know I’m not alone in saying this: 2021, I’m ready ❤️

A little background, for this project I was given less than 24 hours to learn the new Fujifilm camera and create 3 great photos. With each photo, I wanted to showcase people’s uniqueness and individuality, to celebrate both them and us. We are all different, and all the same, and that’s something to be amazed by.
