Back at my computer after a whirlwind of shooting 5 days in a row, and reflecting on how blessed I am to have witnessed and documented the phenomenon that is WomanUP! It's my third year of shooting for CAR (California Association of Realtors), and I've been there since year one of WomanUP. It's bigger and better with every year. Although I am not related to the real estate industry, I have personally grown as a woman, a mother, and an entrepreneur through my time with all these fabulous ladies. One particularly poignant conversation I had with a broker I met was that for centuries, men have always had this space. Men have always had their spaces of gathering, supporting, networking, and exchanging in their industries since there was industry. That was norm. It is a revelation to experience that kind of event for professional women, and I only wish such existed in all industries, including professional photography. Thank you, WomanUp! for this eyeopening opportunity.
