Hi all - the photos from Cartel Wars will be posted this afternoon, here on my FB page. Before they go up, I would like to post a few helpful reminders about handling the photos since it's been awhile.
1. Please share and use my photos. I have no problem with that. I want you to share photos. The problem I have is people cropping out my logo and not giving photo credit. Doing either of these is basically not acknowledging the work that I do and that's not cool. I didn't get paid for the event, (and I don't do it for the money), so be cool and acknowledge the photographer.
2. You want to use my photos for any upcoming promotional material - Yea!, that's great. But please, please let me know. I can give you a copy of original image. Countless times I have seen banners, images, etc., of my photos with low resolution and it makes me cringe. One, because nobody ask if they can use the photo. (Yes, I legally own all my photos & do not sell rights to anyone. Using photos without permission is against the law). And two, the source of the image put out a crappy resolution therefore a terrible photo. We all want to look good, right? Then email me for the original image & let me know what's going on. I can help modify the image to what you need.
3. It happens every game/event, I didn't get a picture of everyone. And someone always accusing me of playing favorites. This is not the case. I don't play favorites. I do my best to get a photo of everyone at least once. And to prove I don't play favorites, I didn't get a lot photos of my own team this time. I try to walk the field as much as possible. Sometimes, I spend more time in one spot because I know/see there's a lot of action. If I'm in a spot where there's not a lot action, I move on. If I didn't get a picture of you, I'm sorry - it happens.
4. Majority of these photos are format to 5x7. If you would like a bigger photo, please let me know. It's a lot easier to do it from my end with the original file.
5. If you love the photos and want to share the love, please do so in the comments. I love to hear what you all think. If you really want to show me some love, you can always send a few bucks to my Paypal account - [email protected]. All paintball money goes to travel expenses, repairs and equipment upgrades. If you don't love my work, well, keep it to yourself. Of course, you can always reach me on Facebook or my email listed above for any questions/comments.
It was great seeing all of you at Cartel Wars and I hope to see you all again at the next event.
