There are parallels with each of the stories told in my book series, especially the isolation each character feels even though they are often surrounded by others. This shot of in the diner really encapsulates that. There are no shots in any of the installments of this series with other people present. I wanted you to feel what the character was feeling. But to assume that people were there. I am so grateful that I finally got to shoot in one of my favorite diners in the city ! The pallette of the interiors was really perfect for what I wanted to capture.

So as you gaze upon The Photographer at home in the Chelsea Hotel, spy on her from across the streets of New York, and accompany her on her way to photoshoots, to the cinema and the diner late night, you also gaze upon me, reflected not only in her, but in the city that shaped me.

All four volumes of the Disappear Here book series are a love letter to strong, independent, creative women, but for this one I was also honored to pay special tribute to the iconic Chelsea Hotel, and the city of New York (my home of 15 years.) Shooting at The Chelsea for a large portion of this series felt surreal and was truly the ideal backdrop!

The legends who have stayed and lived there have always fascinated me. For over a hundred years it served as a center of artistic and bohemian activity. Warhol’s ‘Chelsea Girls’ was shot there obviously. Edie Sedgwick famously lit her room on fire. From Leonard Cohen and Janis Joplin’s affair to Patti Smith and Robert Mapplethorpe’s early days together to Sid and Nancy…need I say more. There are way too many legends to list here.

I have been going to the Chelsea since my first year in NYC way back in 2004. Since it officially closed there’s been scaffolding covering it. And this was the first time I was able to get shots with the iconic sign! I have so many magical memories with from hanging out and shooting here over the years. So it was fitting to be able to shoot this last book with her here! We shot this before the hotel reopened during renovation. Thank you for all of your support on Series Four so far and congratulations to the two winners and !!! 📸📸📸

COVER REVEAL for Disappear Here: Series Four starring super talented artist and my dear friend ! I’m SO happy to finally put this one out! This is the final installment of my four part book series. PREORDER for this starts today until the release date on November 18th! This is your last chance to own one of my books. None of the four books in this series will be reprinted. So don’t miss out! Limited edition of 100 signed and numbered copies.

Series Four follows The Photographer around New York City. This book is the most personal to my current life and pays homage to some of my favorite female photographers like Sarah Moon and Deborah Turbeville. Both of them, like myself, discovered a passion for photography later in life after having other careers, and both made successful transitions to the medium. The aesthetic of this series was also inspired by the 1978 thriller ‘Eyes of Laura Mars’ starring Faye Dunaway, the expert cinematography of Gordon Willis in Alan J. Pakula's "Paranoia Trilogy," and the iconic Michelangelo Antonioni film ‘Blow-Up’ (whose main character, in a meta twist, was inspired by one of my favorite male photographers David Bailey). This book is a bit darker and I wanted the choreography of the shots to feel voyeuristic, as though she is being watched and followed.

I want to thank everyone who supported me on this journey those who bought one or all of the books and everyone who left me kind words or shared my posts it means a lot and really helps! This series has been a labor of love for me. It’s totally self funded and self published. I did everything from creative direction, styling, hair and makeup, props, design etc and it’s all shot on film.

But I have to thank the friends that helped with the things I couldn’t do myself. I couldn’t have done this series without you all! Superstars… Layout Co-writer Retouching Printing Font master and Locations 📸📸📸

I’m SO excited to finally reveal the first image of the final installment of my ‘Disappear Here’ series! It has been a journey!! Series Four stars my dear friend and incredible artist ! If you have been following the series and maybe have even been collecting the books then you know that each one follows one of my muses taking on a character and is inspired by my own life, real life heroes of mine, and films! We started with The Dancer, then The Writer, and the last book was The Singer. I will reveal who she is and much more when I post the cover!

This one was shot in New York City which will always be home to me. I have been dying to share this one! This first image was shot at my favorite spot in NYC, before it reopened! I feel so lucky to have been able to hang out there during the years of renovation and to have been able to shoot there so many times. It’s very dear to my heart! More will be revealed in the upcoming posts. Stay tuned! 🤍🤍🤍

ANNOUNCEMENT! After having taken many years off in the formal sense I’ve decided to start doing makeup again in addition to my work as a photographer! I‘ve continued to do it on the side a little bit and on the majority of my own photo work unless otherwise stated. But I’ve missed doing it beyond that! A lot of people who follow me on here or even people who know me in LA don’t even realize that I was a makeup artist before I was a photographer!

I was a thriving makeup artist in NYC for about 12 years! I travelled the world and had a few big agents. I did some pretty amazing jobs and worked with a ton of legends. I think the break was definitely needed for me. And I absolutely love what I do now with Photography! But I am ready to mix it up with all of my skills. And I’m coming back to it with a fresh perspective. Link in my bio to see my makeup work! Thanks for reading this!!

I’m still reeling from the 50th anniversary screening of ‘Ciao! Manhattan’ at ! What a magical evening!! Thanks again to everyone who came.

As I mentioned in my stories on Saturday…I am pleased to announced that I am hosting/curating the 50th Anniversary screening of the Edie Sedgwick cult classic ‘Ciao! Manhattan’ at on Friday, July 22nd at 7pm. NYC friends get your tickets ASAP! I’ve been working hard on this for months. I’m so excited!

Going back to the first book in my series, which was released in April of 2021, Series One followed as The Dancer. This book was an homage to ballet my first love and my former life as a classical dancer. It was also inspired by some of my favorite ballerinas of the past and one of my all time favorite movies ‘The Turning Point’ from 1977!

Disappear Here: Series Three starring as The Singer. Here she is at the airport waiting for a flight. From city to city, venue to venue, and hotel to hotel; A life on the road is a life lacking home. There is a sense of sadness and isolation even though she might be surrounded by people. It makes you wonder who she’s thinking of.

It’s been so amazing releasing this series of books so far. There’s one last one to come! You guys have been so kind and supportive. I’m down to the last few copies now! Once they’re gone, they’re gone. Thank you for all the love! ♥️♥️♥️
