Lighting setup for Jake Warden:

Had to think quick on my feet for this one to make it versatile without having to rearrange stuff.

FIRST PHOTO:

Key light was a beauty dish with 1-stop diffusion directly above camera, angled down slightly less than 90 degrees.

Background light was used without a modifier, so I clipped a piece of white poster board to act as a flag, letting the light bounce off that and back on to the background, preventing random light spill onto the subject.

The poster board to camera left also doubled as a flag and reflector. Beauty dish would also hit that, softening the shadows on the subject and giving him a subtle rim light.

White reflector to camera right was there to have the light bounce back on to the subject after hitting the white background.

SECOND PHOTO:

Same setup, but attached a gel to the background light and turn it a different color.

THIRD PHOTO:

Same setup, I just turned off the background light. Having a good amount of distance between the light, subject, and background, will cause light to fall off after wrapping around your subject and turn the background to more of a gray color.
