Thereā€™s something so beautiful about choosing to pause and honor your loveā€¦again. šŸ¤

They already had their intimate ceremony, but this day was about reliving the magicā€¦ putting on their wedding attire, gathering their closest family, and stepping into this new chapter with intention. Not for tradition, not for expectation, but for the memories.

Because love like this deserves to be celebrated more than once. It deserves to be documented, felt, and shared with the people who mean the most.

Every once in a while, Iā€™m reminded why photographs matter so much. šŸ¤

These images were taken by the incredibly talented during one of her Soul Dog Sessions ā€” a project beautifully crafted to honor senior dogs and the humans who love them. This session was emotional, tender, and deeply meaningful to meā€¦ because the star of these photos is our soul dog, Quest.

Quest has been my very first pet. When Michael (my husband and forever associate shooter) and I bought our home, Quest literally crossed the street and appeared on our porch while we were carrying boxes inside to begin our new chapter as a married couple and homeowners. We always say he chose us ā€” or more accurately, he chose his home. And for the last eight years, he has filled it with loyalty, joy, and unconditional love.

So for my new friends here, and for those who have followed along for yearsā€¦hola! My name is Iliana Flores. Iā€™m a 30-something wife, sister, daughter, dog mom, and photographer. I was born in Guadalajara, I have a Masterā€™s in Public Administration, and during the week I work in government. On the weekends (and honestly any spare moment I can find), Iā€™ve been photographing love stories, families, and friends for the last 12 years.

I love traveling, listening to Olivia Dean, collecting artisan dĆ©cor from all over my beautiful Mexico, and laughing ā€” like the kind of laugh that turns into a full cackle. Nothing makes me happier than opening my front door after a long day of work and breathing in that warm ā€œhomeā€ smell that only exists when the people (and dogs) you love are waiting for you.

And donā€™t worryā€¦ I didnā€™t forget about our silver-tooth kid, Tribe. Swipe to the end to see him standing on the sidelines while his big brother Quest had his moment in front of the camera. One day (sadly), weā€™ll have this same senior session with Tribe. But for now, weā€™re soaking up every bit of his wild, chaotic, never-ending shenanigans.
