The past few months have been a whole different kind of chaotic— I was wondering when I would be able to take some time away from work/life responsibilities, and then Delfina asked me to go camping.

We had little-to-no preparation and zero expectations. We didn’t google anything. We didn’t make a plan. We didn’t reserve a campsite. We just knew that we wanted to be out in the woods and use that time to slow things down. We left after my last shoot of the week and didn’t arrive until 2am.

It’s been raining in California— a lot. Silver lining is all of the Yosemite valley’s waterfalls are surging. It’s very rare in the summer that these waterfalls are flowing in abundance like this, and we got to see it up close and personal.

Being out in nature always solidifies the importance of wonder and stillness for me. Providing ample time and space to appreciate what it feels like to just exist on this planet.

We had no idea what we were doing, but we had a great time doing it. I’ll pack way more water next time🤧
