Ten years ago today my strong beautiful son sustained a very severe traumatic brain injury. He has endured more pain than most people can comprehend and has healed and evolved in ways that I couldn’t imagine. To say I am proud is an understatement.
My dear boy, you amaze and inspire me. You are brave and bold and speak your truth unapologetically. You are fierce and loyal and willing to fight for injustice. You don’t allow the judgment of others to silence you.
I apologize for being scared so often as you spoke out. I learn from you daily, the world needs more people like you and I am honored to have been chosen to be your mother.
I love you. I am proud of you. I hope to be as good as you some day. ❤️
