Jesus’ original name was likely Yeshua, not “Jesus,” and He spoke primarily Aramaic while also understanding Hebrew and possibly some Greek. Jesus lived fully within Jewish culture, observing traditions like Passover, and He also had siblings, including brothers named James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas. His first miracle—turning water into wine—happened at a simple wedding, showing His power in an everyday setting. Despite being surrounded by crowds, He often withdrew alone to pray and reflect. He frequently taught using parables, simple stories with deep spiritual meaning, and although many celebrate His birth on December 25, scholars believe He was actually born between 6 and 4 BC.
