THE ALGORITHM IS SICK. I’M THE ANTIDOTE.

I voiced cartoon characters that sold enough cereal to fill a lake and commanded a nation hawking a leather bound library that made me a pop icon. I imprinted 1.3 billion impressions before I was old enough to drive.

SOME PEOPLE WERE BORN IN A TRUNK. I WAS BORN IN AN AD AGENCY.

But I didn’t just grow up; I evolved.

The Two-Shot Double Shot: 55 Years of Perspective

There’s a strange, quiet gravity in realizing you’ve surpassed the age your father was in one of your favorite photos of you both.

In this shot, I’m about six. My dad is roughly 51—four years younger than I’m going to be in five days.

Time is a machine I can’t grasp; a concept that feels more like a David Lynchian cigarette burn right now than a Frank Capra film.

Looking at the strength in his arms, I realize that while I’ve traded the tungsten glow of the 70s for the digital darkness of 2026, I haven’t lost my way. The “Freberg Compass” remains. We are storytellers, survivors, and perpetually fueled by the next big idea.

As my birthday approaches, the universe threw some grit into the gears—I just lost a major client. It’s a “system wipe” requiring recalibration and high-octane focus. But this photo reminds me: you don’t stop the mission just because the narrative changes. You open your aperture, focus, and keep shooting.

The narrative is love.
