Not your typical BTS but on the set of while on lunch outside the crew heard what sounded like a cat stuck under the floorboards of the deck, after investigating their assumptions were correct and they were able to free it from where it was trapped…however shortly afterward the cat was put into a dressing room which we, or the building had the key for, so when talent went to set the cat became trapped again, however thanks to our awesome HMUA team and 2nd AD we were able to get maintenance to open the door and once again free the cat. It is now living with one our talent being nursed back to health before finding a permanent loving home!

“You sad flower in the sand” -John Fante
I’ve always resonated with John Fante, he’s from Colorado (as am I) he moved to LA and became an author famous for his stories of Bandini in the old Bunker Hill era of LA, his books are like extended Tom Waits songs, he eventually became a Diabetic (as I am) he lived writing hack comedies until later in his life rediscovering success due to Charles Bukowski discovering his writings in the LA Public Library. He lived to be 74 and died two days before my birthday.
