I LOVE to meet up before your wedding day for engagement style photos or an adventure session. Why do I love it? It’s a great way for us to get to know each other more, for you to get comfortable in front of the camera, and to explore some areas you might not be able to on your actual wedding day! Having a small wedding or elopement doesn’t necessarily mean you need to hike in a National park. Cities offer tons of different backdrops and loads of movement and character. Id love to third wheel a DTLA elopement or one in Philly!

How far in advance do you need to plan your elopement? There’s no short answer here! I’ve had a few couples this fall book only weeks in advance, and since they were flexible with week dates and vendors, that worked out well for them!
When to plan more in advance:
If you have a specific date in mind (specifically a weekend), are set on very specific vendors, and/or are inviting a few close friends or family then you may want to book 6-12 month ahead of time. If you’re on a budget, travel can be a lot more costly last minute, so it’s best to take that into consideration.
When is it okay to plan a more spontaneous elopement?
If you are including you and your partner only, you have no firm ideas of what you want and can be flexible if vendors or activities can vary, and if you just want to make the day about exploring a new place.
There’s something beautiful in letting things just play out as they may, going with the flow with your loved one and seeing where the adventure may take you.

Would you embrace the wind and the cold and let your dress and your hair fly? Just folded into your lover’s arms? Staying well past the sunset for some intimate moments.
My favorite moments are the ones most unexpected, when my clients push themselves a little further than what they expected, have a why the f not attitude, are willing to brave the elements and just enjoy being together.
