Headed into a newborn shoot day and these sessions get me every single time now. Before becoming a mom, I loved documenting the tiny details and sweet chaos of those early days. But as a first-time parent myself, it all hits differently now.

The exhaustion behind the smiles. The way time somehow crawls and flies at the same time. The overwhelming love mixed with the constant wondering if you’re doing any of it “right.” The tiny stretches, milk-drunk cuddles, contact naps, and the way your whole identity quietly shifts overnight.

I walk into these homes now seeing so much more than beautiful photos. I see parents in the middle of becoming. And honestly… it makes this work feel even more meaningful than it already did. 🤍

What a beautifully joyous and hard year. Grateful doesn't cut it for everyone who got in front of my lens this past year.

I hope this season brings you time to slow down, celebrate, and soak up moments with the people you love most. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a new year filled with health, joy, and connection.
