You don’t need your wedding day to look perfect.
You need it to feel like yours.
And somehow, The Griffin House in the Columbia River Gorge makes a pretty unreal backdrop for all of it.
The nerves. The ridiculous moments with your people.
Your mom fastening your dress.
The view you’ll never forget.
The way he looks at you when nobody is asking him to.
The light changing during dinner.
And eventually… everybody barefoot, a little sweaty, and completely forgetting there’s a camera in the room.

She thought she was showing up for family photos. He had other plans.
Somewhere between the ocean, the fog, and everyone they love standing nearby, he got down on one knee.
And then came the kind of reaction you can’t pose. The hands over her face. The tears. The laughter. The wait… IS THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENING?! And an entire family trying very hard to keep it together behind them.
She said yes. 🤍
And then we did exactly what you should do after getting engaged at Cannon Beach. We ran through the water, showed off the ring approximately 700 times, and soaked up the first few minutes of being fiancés.
This is why I will choose real moments over perfect ones every single time. The wind can blow. The fog can roll in. The timeline can change. Just give me the people who are wildly in love.
Congratulations, you two.

The mountain may have been hiding behind the smoke, but Courtney + Dom still gave me everything. 🤍
A little haze, a pair of red cowboy boots, wildflowers, and two people ridiculously in love.
Their Mt. Rainier engagement session didn’t need perfect conditions to be pretty darn perfect.
