I had a session recently with a mom and her two kids, and like most sessions with little ones… it didn’t go exactly “as planned.”

But that’s where the magic is.

Every session is different, because every family is different. Kids have their own timelines, their own personalities, their own way of seeing the world and trying to make them fit into a perfect box rarely works.

So instead, I lean into it. I let them play, explore, be silly, be wild, be themselves.

Because one day, these moments, the way they laughed, wandered, refused to sit still, those are the things you’ll want to remember most.

The beauty isn’t in perfection. It’s in who they are right now.

This sweet family even brought flowers along because they all share a love for them, and it added such a personal touch to their session. I always welcome little props like this, things that mean something to you, because they help tell your story in a more meaningful way. Personalizing your session is what makes it truly yours, and those small details are what turn moments into lasting memories.

There’s something so powerful about this season of life 🤍

The way everything slows down… the anticipation, the strength, the softness it all deserves to be captured. This session felt like pure magic. The light coming through the trees, the stillness of the water, and the way she carried herself… like an absolute goddess ✨

These are the moments that pass so quickly, but mean everything.

You don’t need to wait for the “perfect time” or feel 100% ready this chapter is already beautiful as it is. My goal is always to create a space where you feel confident, comfortable, and truly seen.

There’s something really special about capturing someone in a moment they’ve worked so hard for.🤍 Congratulations to sweet Angela for Graduating this year. 🎓

Even though graduation season has passed, I’m still so excited about how these turned out. This session was all about celebrating a milestone, feeling confident, and just having fun in front of the camera and that’s exactly what I want every session to feel like.

Whether it’s graduation, birthdays, couples, or just because… you don’t need a “perfect reason” to book photos. Your life right now is already worth capturing.

My name is Cassie, and I’m the photographer behind Toland Photography. My little family and I recently made the big move from the Midwest to the beautiful PNW, and I am already so inspired by the scenery, light, and sense of community here. 🌲✨

✨ The cat’s officially out of the bag ✨

After lots of planning, dreaming, and a big leap of faith, my little family and I have officially moved from the Midwest to the Pacific Northwest 🌲🤍

We’re currently settled in the Longview–Kelso area, and I’m already so inspired by the moody skies, mountains, water, and overall magic this place has to offer. It feels like a new chapter and I’m incredibly excited to document it through my lens.

To my Midwest clients: this is not goodbye 💛
Our family is still back home, which means I’ll continue visiting the Midwest and offering sessions when I’m in town. Thank you for trusting me with your memories over the years I can’t wait to keep creating with you whenever our paths cross.

The sweetest little family of three, golden leaves, crisp air, and a baby girl who completely stole the show 🍁✨

Fall really brings out the magic in photos, but nothing compares to the way these three look at each other. Soft snuggles, tiny giggles, and warm moments captured in the prettiest autumn light.

So grateful for families like this who let me freeze these seasons of life, the ones that go by way too fast 🍂🤍

An 18-person extended family session like this is such a beautiful reminder of how special it is to freeze these moments in time, the laughter, the connections, and the generations coming together 🤍

With Thanksgiving here, I can’t help but reflect on how incredibly thankful I am for every family, couple, and individual who trusted me to capture their memories this year. Your support, your kindness, and your belief in my work have helped me grow more than you know, not just as a photographer, but as a person too.
