Here's a few of my favorite shots from a recent trip to Hurricane Ridge. There didn't seem to be a shortage of Blacktail deer near the summit either.

The Point Defiance Pagoda

Originally built in 1914, this Tacoma landmark has been one of the focal points of city for more than a century. As a result of arson, it was almost entirely destroyed in a fire in 2011, but was rebuilt again in 2013. If you haven't been to the Japanese gardens at Point Defiance before, then maybe it's time.

Definitely one of nature’s more entertaining creatures to photograph! While not usually as abundant as the Gray squirrel seems to be, there’s never a dull moment when a Douglas squirrel shows its face.
