Little (or not) pond birds

A handful of photos from the wild horses at Corolla beach in North Carolina, and a few birds from outside the nearby wildlife center.

The Horses are descendants of Spanish mustangs that were brought to the US by explorers, and survived when a ship wrecked. They are the only remaining wild herd of Spanish mustangs. What is interesting about their location is not only are they beach horses, but there is also a neighborhood just off the beach where they will roam about between the houses and the woods there.
