Hi! Happy Meet Me Monday.
Recently, I’ve heard people suggest that business owners should keep politics away from their business. They should just stay neutral.
Well, for my business, I choose to share my beliefs because they are a huge part of who I am. My beliefs impact others. The decision to be vocal or silent about politics and current events is a personal choice. To me, staying silent is simply not an option.
My views impact the way I behave. The way I show up for society. The way I make others feel. My views impact the way I vote. The way those votes impact my fellow citizens. The same is true for people who agree with me, disagree with me, or chose to remain impartial.
Everything we think impacts what we do. What we do impacts how we act. Our actions impact our reality and our world.
As a small business owner (it’s a team of me, myself, and I), my business is an extension of myself. My business name is my name. What I do in public is a reflection of how I operate my business.
I give my heart and soul to my clients. I try to make their experience absolutely custom to them, including finding ways to “wow” them and make them feel extra special. Just like I strive to serve my clients to the highest of my ability, I believe politicians should be serving their constituents in the same way. Making our lives better. Instead, many of them on either side of the aisle are serving themselves.
You won’t see me shy away from being active and vocal about my beliefs, which could potentially make me lose business. I accept that fate for standing up for what is right.
Hopefully as you read my words, they resonate with you. If they do, wonderful, I'm glad you're here. If they don't, remember you're still welcome here.
