Here’s the thing about doing family photos at home.

You mostly worry about your home and the state of it, but here’s what you might not understand about doing your family photos at home.

Your home is a huge part of the story. It’s where life happens for you and your family - day in and day out. It’s where you celebrate milestones + work through big feelings on the regular.

Your home is the safe space for your kids. It’s where they feel comfort and ease. It’s where they get to show off their spaces and be themselves in all forms, whatever this looks like.

It’s the perfect place to create emotional time capsules. Your home does not need to be perfect for your session, it just needs to feel like you.

Number one ingredient - Patience
Number two ingredient - Be Present
Those 2 things are the main ingredients for a perfect family session.

There is so much beauty in the chaos of a family session that I can barely handle it.

Life with littles is so fleeting, (trust me I know, mine are so much older now with babies of their own😭) and I just love that these 2 little cuties brought their own burst of energy + personality to this session.

Hats off to the parents for staying patient and just letting their kids shine + letting them explore and be themselves.

I’m so grateful for this family traveling from CO to UT to have a magical family session you can’t plan - only feel.
