We had people bail on the tRNA Conference excursion to Hocking Hills a few weeks back, because of the high 90s heat. My dude wore pants, long sleeves and a coat and walked all the trails with ease. At one point, as I had sweat pouring down my face, he said to me “you all don’t know what it feels like to live somewhere hot” 🤣

Man it’s been a rough few weeks on the farm. Penny had an internal hemorrhage from the birth and we had no idea until it was too late. Jenny is on the bottle and the kids have taken over the feedings. Definitely not a great situation, but fun to see the kids bonding with her. Things I didn’t think of before getting cows: what happens if one dies? How do you properly move and dispose of a deceased cow in your front pasture? Lots of lessons learned over the last few weeks 😅
