Oh, hey friends! Big news: I am officially coming out of "retirement." šŸŽ‰ (Quotation marks because I never really quit doing photos. Just took a lil break from full-time sessions because life is crazy. You know how it goes.)

I've now relocated from Utah to the Quad Cities in Iowa/Illinois, and I'd love to start building up my clientele again. I'm starting by offering some Christmas Mini sessions at my in-home studio in Davenport! Since I'm just getting established in the area, I'm offering these at a HUGE discount - only $50 per session!

Capture the magic of the holiday season with 30-minute Christmas Mini sessions on Saturday, November 22, or Saturday, November 29. (Additional dates may be available upon request.)

Follow this link or send me a message to book your session! https://app.squareup.com/appointments/book/c17i1da2sgm2cl/FFMCYMAMTXJ25/start

If you can't make it to Christmas Minis, I'd love to do your photos another time! I'm no longer doing weddings, but if you need someone for family portraits, engagements, newborns, etc. I'm your girl.

Jen + Jon’s wedding was an absolute ✨ dream. ✨ I couldn’t NOT share these right away! She looked like an actual princess living a real life fairy tale and seeing them so happy together makes my heart happy.

I’m finishing up updating some of my client guides and oh boy, do I have some goodies for you guys. I just love preparing you, serving you, and giving you all the best nuggets of knowledge so that we can create the most beautiful, unique images together.

One of the tips in my bride guide is to gather a box of details you want captured that may not be displayed for your wedding guests to see: your rings, your invitations, your bouquet, your shoes, etc. and let me take a few photos of them! That way, they can still be a part of your forever memories even if they aren’t displayed for everyone to see.

I was driving all through Provo and SLC this weekend and all the flowering trees were in full bloom! Seeing them makes my heart so happy because it reminds me of my short time in Virginia. (Swipe to see one of my favorite photos from when I saw the cherry blossoms in DC.) I’ve never seen a more beautiful spring than out on the east coast with flowering trees on every corner, but I guess these little popcorn trees are pretty cute too.

This is also your reminder that if you’ve been contemplating booking springtime photos, the time is NOW because blossom photos are to die for. 🌸

Do I always believe in fortune cookies? No. Well.. maybe a little bit. But every once in a while you get one that just makes you smile because it fits all too well. 🄠 One thing is for sure, ever since jumping back into photography, I’ve been happy as a clam. Sometimes I feel guilty for working more instead of giving Cash my undivided attention, but then I remember that I want him, and future kids, to know that motherhood doesn’t have to equal martyrdom. I’m trying to be an example of being a good mom while also showing my kids what it means to work for your dreams because frankly, I think it makes me a better, happier mom.

I just had to share a few of my favorites from Friday’s wedding because I was too excited about them not too! It felt SO good to be back in the wedding scene. These two are such an amazing couple and I am honored that I got to be a part of their special day and help document these memories for them.

My calendar is officially open for photo sessions! I’ve realized that this is what I really love to do - work with couples and families to capture the most important moments of your life. So send me a message and let’s get your photo session scheduled!

Meet the Anderson’s, aka my bonus in-laws. Nate lived with his uncle and aunt for a little while after high school and became super close with their family and they have become some of my FAVORITE people on the planet, so we try and go to visit them as often as possible! It is such a blessing to be part of their family because they are the kindest, funnest, most Christlike people that I know. Every time we go to visit them, we leave wanting to be better people and are constantly talking about how we can make our home feel more like the Anderson’s home. They just have a way of making you feel so loved and like you belong, even if they’ve just met you. I am so grateful for their love, friendship, and examples because they change and bless our lives every day. ā™„ļø

Between my entire family contracting Covid, launching , and doubling the amount of sections I’m teaching for BYU-I this semester, this account has been a little deprived of TLC. BUT, that doesn’t mean that I haven’t been taking pictures and making cool stuff for you guys! Lots to come, I promise. Just wanted to let you know we’re all doing okay over here.

Photo Tip Friday: How I use the graduated filter in Lightroom to create a faux sun flare.

What happens if you go to take photos and you’ve JUST barely missed that delicious golden hour sunlight? Never fear! You can use the graduated filter feature in Lightroom to create a faux sun flare and add some pretty, golden hour sunlight to your photo. ā˜€ļø
