Rainy days in October have their own kind of magic.

The Hocking Hills feel quieter, the colors look a little deeper, and everything takes on that soft, moody look that makes fall feel even more special.

Not every beautiful fall day has to be sunny. Sometimes it is the rain on the leaves, the gray skies, the mist through the trees, and the little details you would normally walk right past that make the season feel unforgettable.

It’s October 3rd.

And around here, that means fall photo season is officially in full swing.

The Hocking Hills are starting to turn, the temperatures are cooling down, and October is bringing some of the prettiest scenery of the entire year to Logan, Ohio and Southeast Ohio.

If you have been waiting to book fall family photos, senior pictures, couples photography, engagement photos, maternity photos, or just an excuse to get dressed up and wander through the changing leaves, this is your sign.

Why do I offer Mini Sessions for families with little ones under 8?

Because I know little kids.

They can give you the biggest smile in the world one minute and decide they are completely DONE with pictures five minutes later. And that is okay.

For younger children, a shorter session can actually give us better photographs. We get them while they’re curious, excited, playful, and ready to explore without expecting them to sit still and smile at a camera for an entire hour.

I don’t need your child to be perfectly posed. I want the giggles, the silly faces, the bear hugs, the little hands holding yours, and even those wonderfully unpredictable moments that show exactly who they are right now.

Mini Sessions give us enough time to create beautiful memories without turning picture day into something exhausting for your child or for you.

And parents, please don’t stress if your little one doesn’t cooperate perfectly. Sometimes the photo you weren’t planning becomes the one you treasure the most.

They’re only this little once.
